Description

Matilda Auditions

From the inspired genius of Roald Dahl, Matilda the Musical revels in the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination. Matilda Wormwood is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and psychokinetic powers. She’s joined on stage by a wonderfully zany cast of characters: neglectful parents, a lovely teacher, a kind librarian, a horrible headmistress and a host of fellow students and adults who help tell this magical tale. Packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and a heartwarming story, this production needs a large, joyful cast to tell the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Being a part of a QCT production is a HUGE commitment, but the reward is worth it! We will work together to create a joyful and high-quality production, and the final product is the result of everyone’s talents and strengths. No divas!  You will  be expected to work as needed outside of rehearsals on your lines, music and choreography; you will attend and arrive on time for all your scheduled rehearsals, and be ready to begin by the scheduled start time; you will leave anything negative (opinions, the day you’ve had, a case of the Grumpies) at the Stage Door and bring in your best, most supportive, most inclusive and positive self to our process. We will all: Be willing to step outside of comfort zones in rehearsals and try different things and treat every person involved in the production with care and respect – no matter the age or role.

Please, only audition if you are ready to commit to the above – let’s work hard and have some fun!
