Who We Are
Quincy Community Theatre (QCT) has been delighting audiences with musicals, mysteries, comedies, and dramas since 1923. Originally named the Quincy Community “Little” Theatre, we became Quincy Community Theatre in the spring of 1995 after the completion of its new facility at 300 Civic Center Plaza. The 498-seat theatre was dedicated on September 8, 1995.
Current offerings include four adult productions, four student theatre productions (including one touring show) and three semesters of educational offerings for students age 3 through adult.
We are a volunteer based organization, welcoming participants from all walks of life, coming together as a community to fulfill our mission statement listed below:
To offer and perpetuate quality theatre entertainment and education through community participation.
What We Do
In order for QCT to fulfill its mission, we rely on volunteers to lend operational support in many different areas. This includes helping in our office with season ticket sales, scanning documents and organizing historical materials as well as staffing the audition tables, distributing posters and participating in special events like the annual BIG Clean. We have many opportunities for a variety of skill sets.
Through your contributions as a volunteer, you provide invaluable support to the artists, educators and fellow volunteers in their pursuit of "quality theatre and education in the performing arts."
