Who We Are

Quincy Community Theatre (QCT) has been delighting audiences with musicals, mysteries, comedies, and dramas since 1923. Originally named the Quincy Community “Little” Theatre, we became Quincy Community Theatre in the spring of 1995 after the completion of its new facility at 300 Civic Center Plaza. The 498-seat theatre was dedicated on September 8, 1995.

Current offerings include four adult productions, four student theatre productions (including one touring show) and three semesters of educational offerings for students ages 3 through adult.

We are a volunteer-based organization, welcoming participants from all walks of life, coming together as a community to fulfill our mission statement listed below:

To offer and perpetuate quality theatre entertainment and education through community participation.

What We Do

In the costume department at QCT, volunteers participate in the creative process by organizing, sewing, creating and taking care of the costumes for our productions.

Regardless of skill level, you are welcomed into the process of costuming a show with our costume designers and costume shop manager.  If you want to learn a new skill, we are more than happy to teach!  You also have the opportunity to work more closely with our costume shop manager if you are interested in assisting with the organization and maintenance of our stock.

The goal of the QCT Costumes Department is to bring the characters to life through thoughtfully chosen costumes that are fitted to each actor's body. We want to instill confidence in our actors and further the storytelling and vision of the directors and designers.
