Who We Are
Quincy Community Theatre (QCT) has been delighting audiences with musicals, mysteries, comedies, and dramas since 1923. Originally named the Quincy Community “Little” Theatre, we became Quincy Community Theatre in the spring of 1995 after the completion of its new facility at 300 Civic Center Plaza. The 498-seat theatre was dedicated on September 8, 1995.
Current offerings include four adult productions, four student theatre productions (including one touring show) and three semesters of educational offerings for students age 3 through adult.
We are a volunteer based organization, welcoming participants from all walks of life, coming together as a community to fulfill our mission statement listed below:
To offer and perpetuate quality theatre entertainment and education through community participation.
What We Do
Front of House volunteers play an important part in the experience our patrons have at QCT. You are the face of QCT and many times the only individual who has direct contact with our patrons. You are an ambassador of the theatre and shape our audiences' expectations and response to the production.
Our goal is that every visit is a positive experience for our patrons who are looking to you for a warm welcome and as someone able to answer questions and offer assistance.
Through your contributions as a Front of House volunteer, you are an integral part of the "quality" in "quality theatre entertainment" that we strive to offer our patrons and our community.
In appreciation, all Front of House volunteers may stay and watch the show, if seats are available, and may be asked to assist the House Manager with additional duties.
