Volunteer: Into The Woods Head UsherServe as an ambassador of QCT by welcoming patrons and assisting the House Manager and ushers. Pre-Show Responsibilities: receive prior training by the House Manager arrive 45 minutes before curtain report to volunteer station in board room to check in at kiosk or on phone collect button and confirm assigned area proceed to auditorium help welcome new volunteers and make sure they are prepared attend pre-show informational meeting held by House Manager or hold meeting is House Manager is detained or unavailable welcome patrons as they enter the theatre check tickets to see where they are sitting direct patrons to appropriate usher for seating communicate with House Manager and Box Office regarding any seating issuesAll FOH volunteers receive one complementary ticket to watch the show you volunteer for if seats are available. During the Show: assist with seating of latecomers approach patrons taking photos or video as quietly as possible and ask them to stop or alert House Manager approach patrons being disruptive as quietly as possible and ask them to step into the lobby or alert House Manager serve as a point of contact during the show in the event of an emergencyDuring Intermission: assist with opening and closing doorsremain outside each door to guide patrons to restrooms and concessions and make sure no food or drink is brought into the housePost-Show Responsibilities: open doorswalk aisles to pick up trash, personal items and discarded programscollect recycled programs from bins and processturn in volunteer badge at end of shift and check out at kiosk or on phoneDress and Decorum: Head Ushers should be 18+ years.
